After the eruption, the challenges for community recovery were also great. Many communities have struggled to rebuild infrastructure, such as damaged schools and hospitals. In addition, there is a risk of uncertainty about preparedness for the next eruption. The psychological trauma resulting from this disaster can last a long time, resulting in anxiety and stress in individuals. Having disaster mitigation efforts is also important.
