The Masters Leaderboard – Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau

The Masters leaderboard is as loaded as it gets, with eight players within three shots of first place and another 11 in the next four. A pair of PGA Tour and LIV Golf representatives are among them.

Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau are tied atop the Masters scoreboard after an eventful day at Augusta National. The defending champion and reigning U.S. Open champion traded pars through the front nine until a double bogey on No. 15 shook him. But he got things together on the back side, birdieing Nos. 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 to notch a bogey-free 66.

DeChambeau matched McIlroy’s 66, but it wasn’t quite enough to pull away from the Irishman. The two swapped pars at the par-3 sixth, with McIlroy making an up-and-down from the fairway bunker to 20 feet and DeChambeau missing a 3-foot par putt.

But DeChambeau made the last hole of the day a little easier with a birdie from 12 feet, and that move put him in the lead by one stroke over McIlroy, Justin Rose (who birdied No. 13), and Ludvig Aberg. Corey Conners, Scottie Scheffler and Tyrrell Hatton are tied for second at 10-under.
